Gain Real Industry Exposure

Billy Blue's close relationship with the design industry enables you to gain industry exposure while you study.

Upon enrolment, you automatically receive membership to the Australian Graphic Design Association (AGDA).

The course itself is designed and delivered by industry practitioners, who share their expert knowledge and experience with you. What you learn is relevant, practical and up-to-date.

Billy Blue's in-house design studio, Project Studio, gives you the opportunity to work on commercial projects with external clients. You develop real skills and a network of contacts - including potential clients - even before you graduate.

Learn in a Supportive Environment

Billy Blue lecturers don't just teach; they act as mentors to help you achieve your goals. Committed to your success, your lecturers will work closely with you throughout your study.

Classes are kept small, with a maximum of 25 students, to ensure that you get individual attention when you need it.

In addition, you have access to industry-standard design computer labs and drawing rooms, as well as a well-stocked resource centre to further enrich your learning experience.


Pre-requisites

  • Mature age students: relevant academic and/or work experience plus a portfolio.
  • School leavers: minimum UAI / ENTER / TER score of 60 plus a portfolio.

Don't have a portfolio? Billy Blue's Certificate III in Design Fundamentals is an 18-week course specially designed to help you build the skills and portfolio required for successful tertiary study in the visual arts.

Location, Study Time & Start Dates

This design course is delivered at the Billy Blue campuses in Sydney and Brisbane, and can be completed in three years of full-time study - or six years part-time.
