Become Part of the Solution

Perpetrators of political violence know they're capable of upsetting the balance of international power, quickly and efficiently, by employing increasingly advanced and innovative methods of attack. And - as ever - they're very motivated to do so.

One of the keys to combating terrorism is knowledge, such as that gained with a Master of Policing, Intelligence, Terrorism and Counter Terrorism. The course deals directly with the fundamental questions: What is terrorism? What motivates it? And how can it be prevented or defeated? It also looks at the problem indirectly, including an analysis of the roles played by technology and the media.

This course provides a comprehensive understanding of terrorism and how to combat it. You'll train rigorously while gaining valuable knowledge of modern policing, intelligence strategies and counter terrorism, as well as an understanding of the theories of political violence and terrorism issues.

As a graduate, you'll have an informed perspective on international and regional security matters, and you'll be qualified to respond to today's policing and defence challenges.
