Macquarie is a partner and part owner in Open Universities Australia (OUA). Macquarie's distance education is based on flexible delivery of units in subject areas as diverse as economics, management, early childhood education, law, IT and media.

Units usually have no prerequisites. Macquarie recognises prior learning, and FEE-HELP lets you study now, pay later.

Macquarie courses are delivered via printed study materials, additional resources such as AV, CD and DVD, as well as units taught online via Macquarie's interactive LAMS (Learning Activity Management System).
