The Master of Arts (Applied Linguistics) program will help you understand how language relates to commerce and government. You'll study:

• The concepts and tools of analysis used in linguistics and applied linguistics
• The functions and status of entire languages
• The issues surrounding second language acquisition
• Language-internal issues, such as standardisation, education, business and the media
