Who is This Course for?

Pursue a fulfilling career in the community services industry with the TAFE Certificate III in Aged Care.

This course is ideal for those who want to formalise their existing community work skills and those who wish to work in aged care facilities and care for the elderly.

You'll gain the knowledge and skills required to work as an assistant in nursing (AIN) or personal care assistant (PCA) in an aged care facility, a community support worker, a home care assistant or a community care worker.

Course Requirements

As part of the course assessment, you'll need to undertake supervised work placement for a total of 115 hours in residential aged care. This placement will need to be pre-approved by OTEN. This will help prepare you for professional work in the community services industry in aged care work.

You must also complete a Senior First Aid certificate in order to receive the Certificate III in Aged Care.
