The Diploma of Accounting will provide you with practical training in the accounting discipline, leading to careers such as accountants, senior financial clerks and office managers.

This course is especially designed for employees who need to perform accounting duties such as introducing and maintaining accounting systems, reporting on business performance, preparing financial statements, maintaining internal control systems and preparing management accounting reports.

Upon successful completion of this course, you'll receive the Diploma of Accounting (FNS50210) under the Financial Services Training Package (FNS10).

Entry Requirements

To gain entry into the Diploma of Accounting, you'll need to have completed the 9 units listed below.

Haven't completed these units? Don't worry - all 9 units are available for free as part of your enrolment. You can complete them concurrently with the Diploma of Accounting units, so you save valuable time while fulfilling the entry requirements.

• Prepare financial reports
• Design and produce business documents
• Contribute to OHS hazard identification and risk assessment
• Process financial transactions and extract interim reports
• Make decisions in a legal context
• Prepare financial statements for non-reporting entities
• Set up and operate a computerised accounting system
• Carry out business activity and instalment activity statement tasks
• Apply principles of professional practice to work in the financial services industry

Once you've completed this TAFE diploma course, you can further your studies with an undergraduate degree course.
