Failure by you to provide personal information when requested by SEEK Learning Australia may mean that we are unable to provide certain services and products to you.
2. What types of information do we collect?
SEEK Learning gathers two types of information about you, namely:
- aggregated information generated by our systems (or third party systems) to track our website traffic but that does not identify you personally ("non-personal information"); and
- personal information about you such as your name, address, telephone and facsimile number, email address and in some cases, your billing details and general financial and credit information ("personal information").
The type of information that SEEK Learning Australia collects about you is dependent on how you use the services offered on our website and the products you are interested in purchasing through SEEK Learning Australia.

Detection of Location TechnologySEEK Learning Australia uses a lookup service to assess your general location (city and country) when you submit an enquiry via our website. This is done so that the enquiry is responded to by the most appropriate person.

In some instances, including for example, where you require financial assistance, SEEK Learning Australia may collect personal information about you (including financial and credit information) to pass on to SEEK Learning Australia's preferred credit suppliers ("Credit Suppliers") for loan and/or credit application purposes. SEEK Learning Australia will only pass on this information where you have expressly consented to allow SEEK Learning Australia to do so on your behalf.
Credit Suppliers may require a range of additional personal information for loan application purposes which is not specified in this Privacy Statement. You will be required to read and must consent to the Credit Supplier's privacy terms before SEEK Learning Australia will pass on your personal information to the Credit Suppliers.
SEEK Learning Australia may also disclose your personal information to third party contractors who perform services for us including the management and maintenance of our information systems. In some circumstances we may transfer or disclose information to persons and/or businesses outside Australia including in New Zealand, United States of America and India.

Where you use our Career Access service, we may also pass your details on to relevant organisations offering a placement position suited to your needs. In such circumstances, we will always notify you, and seek your consent, before sending your contact details to these third parties.
You have the right to directly contact such third parties to request access to any personal information sent as part of an application or that has been provided to them through the Career Access service. The use of your information (personal or otherwise) by these organisations is not within the control of SEEK Learning and we cannot accept responsibility for the conduct of these companies.
Where you are located outside of Australia and enquire about our products and services, SEEK Learning Australia may be unable to assist you. In such circumstances we may disclose your personal information to Online Education Services Pty Ltd (ACN 148 177 959) t/a Swinburne Online, a joint venture between SEEK and Swinburne University of Technology for the sole purpose of allowing them to contact you to determine if they are able to provide your with assistance in relation to your enquiry.
Other than as outlined above, SEEK Learning Australia will not disclose your personal information without your consent unless disclosure is necessary to prevent a threat to life or health, authorised or required by law, reasonably necessary to enforce the law, or necessary to investigate a suspected unlawful activity.
6. Access to and correction of information we hold about you
Upon your request, SEEK Learning Australia will provide you with access to your personal information unless there is an exception which applies under the Australian Privacy Principles. If we deny such access, we will tell you why.
