The Certificate IV in Credit Management (FNS40115) is an entry-level qualification designed to provide you with the skills and knowledge needed to work in a variety of credit-related roles across a range of industry sectors.

Successful completion of this qualification also meets the minimum education standard for responsible managers and credit representatives set out by the Australian Securities and Investment Commission (ASIC).

What you'll learn

You’ll learn how to:

  • Make the loan decision in accordance with organisational guidelines and accepted industry standards
  • Determine appropriateness of security to minimise risk, in accordance with organisational guidelines
  • Implement risk management strategies, and identify and act upon risk mitigation opportunities, relevant to the industry and the organisation
  • Carry out required settlement processes in accordance with organisational requirements and within the scope of your job role
  • Apply knowledge of industry products, legislation, regulation and codes of practice to the industry
  • Process customer complaints and resolve disputes
  • Provide general advice on financial products and services and promote an understanding of the effective use of credit
  • Implement, evaluate and improve the customer service offered by your organisation
  • Manage and recover bad and doubtful debts in accordance with organisational guidelines, utilising appropriate commercial and legal processes where appropriate
