  1. BSBMKG609 - Develop a marketing plan


    This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to research, develop and present a marketing plan for an organisation. On successful completion of this unit, you should be able to formulate a marketing plan by developing specific marketing strategies and tactics in accordance with the organisation’s overall marketing objectives.

  2. BSBMKG608 - Develop organisational marketing objectives


    This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to conduct a strategic analysis to develop organisational marketing objectives. This involves reviewing the organisation’s internal and external environments, evaluating past and current marketing performance, and exploring and evaluating new marketing opportunities.

    On successful completion of this unit, you should be able to take a strategic perspective in reviewing internal and external marketing environments facing the business and thereby identifying marketing opportunities aligned to the organisational marketing objectives.

  3. BSBMKG605 - Evaluate international marketing opportunities


    This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to evaluate the international environment, identify market factors and risks, and to assess viability of international marketing opportunities.

    On successful completion of this unit, you should be able to evaluate the international business environment in preparation for entering an international or export market for the first time, or to identify new marketing opportunities in markets in which your organisation already has a presence.

  4. BSBFIM601 - Manage finances


    This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to undertake budgeting, financial forecasting and reporting and to allocate and manage resources to achieve the required outputs for the business unit. It includes contributing to financial bids and estimates, allocating funds, managing budgets and reporting on financial activity.

    On successful completion of this unit, you should be able to oversee the management of financial and other resources across a business unit, a series of business units or teams, or an organisation. It covers all areas of broad financial management. In a larger organisation this work would be supported by financial management specialists.

  5. BSBMKG607 - Manage market research


    This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to prepare for, manage and evaluate market research projects across an organisation. On successful completion of this unit, you should be able to prepare market research plans for implementation, engaging external consultants, managing market research activity, and evaluating research processes and findings.

  6. BSBMKG603 - Manage the marketing process


    This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to strategically manage the marketing process and marketing personnel within an organisation. Typically this would relate to the management of a portfolio of products or services across the organisation.

  7. BSBMGT605 - Provide leadership across the organisation


    This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to demonstrate senior leadership behaviour and personal and professional competence. Business ethics are also addressed in this unit. On successful completion of this unit, you should be able to provide leadership across the organisation to motivate others to achieve organisational goals.

  8. BSBPMG522 - Undertake project work


    This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to undertake a straightforward project or a section of a larger project. It covers developing a project plan, administering and monitoring the project, finalising the project and reviewing the project as part of a continuous improvement process. 

    On successful completion of this unit, you should be able to play a significant role in ensuring a project meets timelines, quality standards, budgetary limits and other requirements set for the project.
