The core units you complete will build the key skills needed to provide support to both teachers and students in a classroom. You'll learn to help implement educational programs, contribute to the management of a classroom, support the development of literacy, numeracy and oral language skills, and provide support to students with additional learning needs. To prepare for the workplace, you’ll be required to complete supervised work placements where you’ll gain real-world experience. The electives you complete will depend on the institution you choose to study with.

This course prepares you for entry-level roles in schools and community education settings as a Teacher's Aide, Integration Aide or Education Support Worker. It is generally considered the minimum requirement needed to work in the industry.
