    This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to examine consumer behaviour for unique international markets.

    In this role, individuals confirm the target market, assess current level of consumer interest and develop and document recommended marketing strategies.

  2. BSBMKG502 - Establish & adjust the marketing mix


    This unit describes the performance outcomes, skills and knowledge required to determine the optimum marketing mix for a business through analysis of interrelated marketing components. On successful completion of this unit, you will be able to determine an appropriate marketing mix, monitor and adjust the marketing mix.

  3. BSBMKG501 - Identify & evaluate marketing opportunities


    This unit describes the performance outcomes, skills and knowledge required to identify, evaluate and take advantage of marketing opportunities by analysing market data, distinguishing the characteristics of possible markets and assessing the viability of changes to operations. On successful completion of this unit you should be able to actively seek out and assess marketing opportunities in terms of viability and suitability to the organisation. You should also be able to turn the assessed marketing opportunities into reality.

  4. BSBMKG514 - Implement & monitor marketing activities


    This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to apply and observe marketing plan objectives and action necessary improvements.

    It applies to individuals who possess a sound theoretical knowledge base in advertising management, and demonstrate a range of managerial skills. In this role, they usually lead and coordinate a marketing team, implement a marketing plan, monitor performance of marketing strategies and evaluate their effectiveness.

  5. BSBMKG507 - Interpret market trends & developments


    This unit describes the performance outcomes, skills and knowledge required to conduct an analysis of market data in order to determine organisational and competitor business performance, and to prepare market and business forecasts that assist in targeting marketing activities and in drawing up a marketing plan. On successful completion of this unit you should be able to gather market intelligence, conduct an analysis of marketplace trends and developments in order to identify opportunities and threats, better manage performance and establish practical achievable forecasts.

  7. BSBFIM501 - Manage budgets & financial plans


    This unit describes the performance outcomes, skills and knowledge required to undertake financial management within a work team in an organisation. This includes planning and implementing financial management approaches, supporting team members whose role involves aspects of financial operations, monitoring and controlling finances, and reviewing and evaluating effectiveness of financial management processes in line with the financial objectives of the work team and the organisation.

  8. BSBMKG506 - Plan market research


    This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to plan market research by identifying market research needs, defining market research objectives, identifying data gathering approaches and developing a market research plan.

    It applies to individuals in a non-market research organisation who conduct market research planning at a managerial level.
